Hanbury and Draycott Gardening Club

Hanbury and Draycott Gardening Club was formed over ten years ago by a small group of garden enthusiasts. The aim was to share and increase knowledge of various aspects of gardening.

This was to be achieved by visits to gardens and nurseries during the summer months and in winter by inviting speakers to impart their specialist knowledge. Over the years visits have included various Royal Horticultural Society events such as the Hampton Court flower show, the R.H.S. trial gardens at Wisley and Harlow Carr as well as spring shows at Malvern and Harrogate.

Membership is through an annual subscription, currently fifteen pounds and the club meets on the second Monday of the month at 7.30pm in the Hanbury Memorial Hall. This is for the winter season which runs from October to April. The outings for the summer season are generally by coach on various dates to be announced.
